Shaping remembrance

During the National Socialist era, 905 patients from the sanatorium and nursing home were murdered in the Hartheim/Linz and Pirna-Sonnenstein killing centers. In addition, a total of 1906 patients died between 1939 and 1945, at least 700 of them from "starvation diet" and structural neglect.

Commemoration of victims of racist violence

10 + 1 - The city of Erlangen remembers the nine people with a history of migration and a policewoman who were murdered by the NSU between 2000 and 2007. In the summer of 2018, the verdict was announced in the NSU trial, which is not satisfactory for the victims and their families, nor for the democratically-minded population.
