Erlangen Declaration on Diversity, Respect, and Tolerance

In its 10th anniversary year, the Office for Equal Opportunity and Diversity / International Relations focused on bringing together various stakeholders in the city’s civil society. Working together in solidarity, 2,025 dedicated members of Erlangen’s urban community—representing a wide range of sectors in civil society, business, and academia—drafted the “Erlangen Declaration on Diversity, Respect, and Tolerance.” We would like to briefly outline the process that led to this declaration.

Erlangen Diversity Conference 2026 "What holds us together"

Together with the Partnership for Democracy (federal program "Live Democracy!"), the city of Erlangen invites the signatories and supporters of the Erlangen Declaration for Diversity, Respect and Tolerance to the Erlangen Diversity Conference 2026 "What holds us together". The closed event will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 3.30 to 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber (1st floor), Rathausplatz 1 in Erlangen.

Strategic plan LGBTQIA*
