This year, the city is once again taking numerous measures to address the problems associated with the use of the area at the Lewin-Poeschke-Anlage (Bürgermeistersteg) by revelers. "The following still applies: the celebrations there are not a city event and no one is acting as the organizer. Nevertheless, we have a responsibility to monitor the situation of revelers on the Bürgermeistersteg as closely as possible," explains Thomas Ternes, Head of Legal Affairs, Human Resources and Digitalization.
Loud music not permitted
When it comes to music, the following still applies: playing loud music is not permitted. However, non-disturbing background music may be played. The green space regulations apply: "Users must behave in the green spaces in such a way that no one else is endangered, harmed or hindered or inconvenienced more than is unavoidable under the circumstances."
