Erlangen’s mud play areas aren’t just a welcome way to cool off on hot summer days. They also offer plenty of opportunities for creative play and experimentation with water and sand. There are 20 mud play areas scattered throughout the city. How do you find them? Simply enter “Matschanlage” in the search bar on erlangen.de. This will display all playgrounds with water play areas.

In addition to new construction, older play and leisure areas are also being renovated and redesigned.
