More parking options in large parking lot
Stand: 15.01.2025
In the immediate vicinity of the city center, 55 parking spaces between Friedrich-List- and Münchener Straße are now available to the public again.
Return of the parking spaces from the university hospital
The parking spaces north of the Neustadt cemetery, between Friedrich-List- and Münchener Straße, had been leased to the University Hospital Erlangen since August 1, 2023. The university hospital now uses a municipal space in the eastern section of the street "An den Kellern" on the Bergkirchweih site. As a result, there is no longer any need for parking on the large parking lot. 11 parking spaces will continue to be rented to Erlanger Stadtwerke.
The parking spaces that will be freed up will also provide relief as soon as the demolition of the multi-storey parking lot at the large parking lot can begin this year and parking area P 4 has to be closed for construction site installation.
Parking options in the city center
In addition to the large parking lot, there are numerous other parking options available in the city center. The following parking garages can be used on the edge of the city center:
- Am Fuchsengarten
- Arcades
- Henkestraße
- Schuhstraße.
These parking garages are easily accessible, never fully occupied and are all located in the free inner city area. Thanks to the good bus connections, they are a convenient alternative for car drivers.
