Erlangen city law is a collection of statutes and ordinances issued by the city council.
City law A-Z City law by legal area
This section also contains the statutes of the special-purpose associations of which the city is a member, as well as other regulations relevant to the city area (e.g. the water protection area ordinances of the Erlangen-Höchstadt District Office, which also affect the city area of Erlangen).
City law is administered and published by the Legal Department.
Only the versions published in the official gazette of the city of Erlangen ("Die amtlichen Seiten") are legally authoritative. No legal claims can be derived or asserted from this collection of Erlangen city law.
As errors cannot be completely ruled out, even with the greatest care, we would be grateful for any information.
The city law can be accessed both alphabetically and by legal area:
Frequently asked questions
Statutes
Statutes are legal provisions issued by the city council that primarily regulate the municipal affairs and facilities of the city of Erlangen (such as wastewater, waste, daycare centers, city archives, etc.) and the charges levied by the city (e.g. street cleaning fees, dog tax, development charges, etc.).
Ordinances
Ordinances are regulations issued by the city council on the basis of special laws, which primarily stipulate certain prohibitions and requirements for the city area - in particular for safety or nature conservation reasons.
The official pages
The official pages are the official, regularly published gazette of the city of Erlangen. Statutes and ordinances must be published here after they have been passed by the City Council and signed by the Lord Mayor (copy) in order to be legally effective. The official gazette of the City of Erlangen has been called "The Official Pages" since 1999.
