Informationen
If you (have to) use water from the public mains to water your garden in accordance with the provisions of your water supplier's water supply regulations, you may be able to save on wastewater charges if your local public wastewater disposal company provides for this in its local contribution and fee statutes for the drainage statutes. To this end, the bylaws must contain a provision to the effect that, upon request, certain quantities of water that can be proven not to have entered the public wastewater disposal system can be deducted from the wastewater quantity relevant for calculating the wastewater charges. To prove the amount of water used in the garden, it is generally necessary for you to attach a sealed, permanently installed and calibrated garden water meter to the relevant (garden) water pipe as an extension meter and report the amount of garden water used on the property to the municipality.
Note: If there is no such statutory regulation in your area, such a deduction is not possible.
Please contact your local authority for more information on this subject.
