The district administrative authorities and the Bavarian Food Safety and Veterinary Control Authority (KBLV) are responsible in Bavaria for monitoring the circulation and use of veterinary medicinal products, including anaesthetics for animals.

Informationen
The monitoring includes, among other things, checks on veterinary medicine dispensaries and the use of medicines by veterinarians and animal owners, particularly with regard to the supply of food-producing animals, as well as the retail sale of over-the-counter veterinary medicines, e.g. in agricultural or pet shops.
