Waste management activities; notification

As a collector, transporter, trader and broker of waste, you must report this activity to the competent authority. If you carry out this activity with hazardous waste and are exempt from the permit requirement, you must enclose additional documents with your notification.

If you have already reported your activity and your details have changed significantly, you must submit the notification again.

The obligation to notify applies to both national and cross-border waste shipments.

If you take up an activity or change essential information about your activity, notify the competent authority. Also submit the required documents.

The authority will send you a confirmation of your notification and may make your activity

• make your activity subject to conditions,
• and/or limit it in time,
• or impose conditions or
• prohibit it completely.

• The following documents are required:
  
  • Ihre abfallrechtliche Betriebsnummer(n) als Sammler, Beförderer, Makler bzw. Händler von Abfällen (soweit Ihnen bereits erteilt)
  • die Vorgangsnummer Ihrer erstmaligen Anzeige (nur, wenn Sie eine Änderungsanzeige erstellen möchten)
  • Ihre Gewerbeanmeldung (soweit eine Pflicht zur Gewerbeanmeldung besteht)
  • ein Auszug aus dem Handels-, Vereins- oder Genossenschaftsregister (soweit ein Antrag erfolgt ist)
  • Wenn Sie von der Erlaubnispflicht beim Umgang mit gefährlichen Abfällen befreit sind: Ihr Entsorgungsfachbetriebezertifikat bzw. Ihre Registrierungsurkunde als zertifizierter EMAS-Betrieb (soweit Ihr Betrieb eine entsprechende Zertifizierung besitzt)
  • einen Nachweis einer Betriebs- und Umwelthaftpflichtversicherung (soweit eine solche besteht)
  • Nachweise für die Fachkunde der für die Leistung und Beaufsichtigung des Betriebes verantwortliche Personen

• if measures pursuant to Section 53 (3) sentence 1 or sentence 3 KrWG are required: 150 to 3,000 EUR
• otherwise: EUR 25 to 100
