Energy Consulting
Stand: 04.08.2026
Is my house, balcony, or garage suitable for a solar power system? What are the benefits of an energy-efficient renovation? What do I need to consider when replacing my heating system? How can I make my new home as sustainable as possible? How can I qualify for financial assistance?
The city’s energy counseling service is available to you independently and free of charge. The counselors will work with you to identify suitable solutions for building and heating system retrofits, the use of renewable energy, and funding opportunities.
The City of Erlangen’s free consultation takes place during appointments lasting approximately one hour—either by phone, at the Environmental Office, or, by arrangement, at your location. Please be sure to schedule an appointment by phone or email. This is an initial consultation designed to provide guidance on energy-efficient renovation. It does not replace a detailed, fee-based energy consultation, such as those provided by independent energy consultants.
Are you looking to purchase a property? The energy counseling service will be happy to advise you before you buy a property and can also accompany you on a property viewing.
