Time for a diaper change? Switch to reusable diapers.

Each baby needs around 4,000 to 5,000 diapers during the changing phase. With disposable diapers, that's more than 1 ton of diaper waste per child. Apart from the enormous amount of waste, the production of disposable diapers has a heavy impact on the environment.

Why reusable diapers?

• Modern cloth diapers are just as easy to use as disposable diapers
• a lower volume of residual waste can also save on waste disposal fees

The city of Erlangen subsidizes the purchase of new and used cloth nappy systems (overpants, cloth diapers, washable inserts, diaper fleece) once with 25 percent of the invoice amount. ErlangenPass holders receive 50 percent. The maximum subsidy is 200 euros per child.

Support program for reusable diapers

• Your main residence is in the city of Erlangen
• The residential property is connected to the municipal waste disposal system
• The invoice must clearly state that it is a purchase of reusable diapers
• The invoice and proof of payment must be submitted
• The child is not yet one year old at the time of application
