2026 Garden Waste Collection Campaign
This year, as in previous years, yard waste can be dropped off free of charge at various locations throughout the city on four Saturdays in the fall. The containers will be available at the drop-off locations from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. There is one designated date for each location.
Dechsendorfer Pond Is Being Drained
Draining the pond is part of the preparation for the fish harvest in early November. Afterward, the pond will be refilled with water. Please observe the barriers and signs and do not enter the area.
Main-Danube Canal
The Main-Danube Canal Bridge between Erlangen and the Dechsendorf district is closed to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating of more than 7.5 metric tons. Public transportation is exempt from this restriction. The service road running east of the Main-Danube Canal is closed in the area of the bridge construction site.
