Mobility Forum - Public participation in mobility planning
Stand: 28.05.2024
Mobility concerns everyone - children, adults, senior citizens, private individuals, companies, etc. - and so it is a central concern of the city of Erlangen to integrate participation processes into mobility planning. With its representatives, the advisory body "Mobility Forum" covers a wide range of interests and concerns.
The Mobility Forum emerged from the "Forum VEP", which supported the conception of the "Transport Development and Mobility Plan 2030" of the city of Erlangen in the period 2013 - 2020 as part of the public participation process. This committee was made up of important interest groups, associations, initiatives, major employers and employees. Its task was to communicate the views of its institutions and stakeholders openly and, above all, at an early stage. The forum met a total of nineteen times between November 2013 and December 2020. Due to the positive results, it was decided that this committee should continue to meet regularly after the completion of the VEP 2030 and discuss current mobility planning topics.
