The city newspaper "Rathausplatz 1" was discontinued with the August 2025 issue as part of the budget consolidation. We would like to thank all readers for their many years of interest and loyalty.

The City of Erlangen will continue to provide reliable information on the latest news from the administration and city council

- in the fortnightly newsletter and
- on the official social media channels(www.erlangen.de/socialmedia).
We are pleased about the lively interest in these offerings.
People and topics from the administration were presented in detailed reports in the monthly edition of the city newspaper. There was also information on current cultural and leisure activities as well as important news from politics and administration.

Every year, monuments open their doors on the second Sunday in September. The next Open Monument Day is on September 13, 2026.
Still at the top of the future ranking
Erlangen has once again maintained its top position in the renowned Prognos Future Atlas. In the nationwide ranking, which examines the future viability of cities and regions, Erlangen is the best rated city. Only the district of Munich is ahead of Erlangen.

The Office for Equal Opportunities and Diversity / International Relations has been in existence for ten years - a portrait.

Pilot for new parking concept under test
Several measures are being tested around Bohlenplatz. The aim is to create a sustainable and future-oriented solution for parking space management. The start date is July 19.
Youth Employment Agency JUBA-ER
At the Youth Employment Agency (JUBA), teenagers and young adults receive comprehensive support to help them gain a foothold in the job market or university and cope well with the numerous requirements.
ADFC bicycle climate test: Erlangen in 1st place
Erlangen was once again awarded first place (overall score of 3.1) in the "top performer" category in the 100,000 to 200,000 population size class in the cycling climate test conducted by the German Cyclists' Federation (ADFC).
