News from the Neighborhood
2026 Garden Waste Collection Campaign
This year, as in previous years, yard waste can be dropped off free of charge at various locations throughout the city on four Saturdays in the fall. The containers will be available at the drop-off locations from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. There is one designated date for each location.
Wooden Shoe Herring
From Monday, September 28, through Friday, December 11 (tentatively), Holzschuherrings in Eltersdorf will be completely closed to traffic. The closure affects the section between Eltersdorfer Straße and the intersection with Volckamerstraße.
Schießhaus Street
Construction is currently underway on a new stormwater overflow basin with a pumping station in Eltersdorf. Access to the construction site is via Konrad-Haußner-Straße. Construction is scheduled to continue through August 2027.
