Education Council
We are a committee of experts made up of members of Erlangen's educational organizations. We have been helping to shape the educational landscape in Erlangen since 2008. We exchange views on topics relevant to education.
The Erlangen Education Council was established on December 11, 2008 by resolution of the Erlangen City Council. It is an important body of experts and networks municipal departments and non-municipal education stakeholders. The Education Council is composed in such a way that it is representative of Erlangen's educational landscape. This enables a comprehensive exchange on topics relevant to education.
The Erlangen Education Council currently consists of around 100 members. It is made up of the following group of people:
Representatives
- of the city administration
- the state school inspectorate
- early childhood education
- School education
- Vocational further education and socially integrative education
- Cultural education
- the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg
- from business and labor
- the professional organizations
- the urban community
- welfare organizations
- within the framework of regional networking and
- Honorary city councillors

The Erlangen Education Council is a body that represents the Erlangen education landscape. Therefore, only representatives of Erlangen's educational institutions can become members.
The Education Council brings up needs in the educational landscape, shares innovations and provides information about projects. It also discusses recommendations for action to politicians.

In the specialist groups:
All interested parties have the opportunity to participate in working groups of the Education Council. These are called specialist groups and deal with various educational topics in Erlangen.
At education conferences:
All interested parties can take part in education conferences. The topics of the conferences are derived from current needs or go hand in hand with the preparation of an education report.

Qualified internship - regional BO and internship exchange
The Qualified Internship (QP) offers a regional internship exchange with over 100 regional internship positions, an exchange of company offers for internship measures (e.g. company tours, workshops, application training), close cooperation with schools and companies, support on all aspects of internships and events for companies and schools.
