Are you new to Erlangen? You are very welcome.
We attach great importance to climate and environmental protection in Erlangen. That is why we would like to inform you about alternatives to your own car, such as public transport, sharing services and cycling. Take advantage of our advice service and the informative mobility folder for new residents.
To promote environmentally friendly mobility, mobility management for new residents is being introduced in the form of a mobility folder in conjunction with dialog marketing. New residents are not only a large target group, but also have to change their mobility routines when they move to Erlangen. As examples from other cities show, targeted information and advice on mobility services can have a lasting effect on individual mobility behavior.
All newcomers to Erlangen have a short window of opportunity to establish their mobility routines in their new place of residence. Newcomer marketing provides targeted information about alternatives to owning a car, such as public transport, sharing services and cycling. This ensures that new residents are aware of all the options available in the city of Erlangen and can choose the best option rather than opting for private motorized transport due to a lack of information.
In addition to information, vouchers and trial offers are also provided so that different forms of mobility can be tested. This lowers the inhibition threshold to try out alternatives and thus establish environmentally friendly, sustainable mobility behavior.
When people move house, they have to reorient themselves and discover new ways of getting around. During this phase, there is often a great willingness to try out new forms of mobility and not just continue with the familiar routines.
Together with the O.Phon agency, the administration has produced a brochure containing information about mobility options in Erlangen.
Every new household that has registered as a resident in the city of Erlangen since November 2022 will receive a mobility folder containing information about the many mobility options available in the city. Citizens can also order additional information material and trial offers. Orders can be placed by post, telephone or online using an order form. The O.Phon agency takes care of dispatch and support and is the point of contact for all matters. The folder is updated at regular intervals to reflect current developments and plans.
In addition to vouchers for e-scooters and car sharing, a trial ticket for local public transport is provided, which is a MobiCard for the Erlangen city area (tariff zone 400/ price level C) for a total of 28 days.
All eligible persons will automatically receive the offer, which will be sent out in calendar week 6/2023. The offer will be accompanied by a dialog marketing campaign carried out by the service provider O.Phon on behalf of the city administration. New arrivals to Erlangen can thus receive individual advice.
