Urban-Rural Railway (StUB)
Stand: 28.05.2024
In future, it will connect Nuremberg, Erlangen and Herzogenaurach. This will create a fast and, above all, sustainable transport alternative for the region.
The three business locations of Nuremberg, Erlangen and Herzogenaurach are growing steadily. And with it the number of jobs and inhabitants. For example, over 62,000 people commute to Erlangen every day from the surrounding towns and municipalities. Almost 19,000 Erlangen residents make their way to work in the region every day. The traffic congestion continues to increase.
And the Stadt-Umland-Bahn? It is an environmentally friendly and attractive transport solution for our region.
Together with you - planning and building the StUB
The Urban-Rural Railway Association (ZV) is always out and about with citizens along the planned route. In its local forums, the ZV visits parts of the route with you and discusses open questions together on site. The planners will take on board your suggestions for further planning. All local forums are open to the public. You can find out more about the previous local forums and the next dates here.
