Warning About Fraudulent Invoice Emails
The City of Erlangen is warning against receiving fraudulent emails that are currently being sent to the city’s business partners. In the cases identified so far, the following email address was used (rechnung@economic-department.com). The emails ask recipients to provide billing information.
Candlelit Weddings: Evening Ceremonies at the Erlangen City Museum
Anyone who would like to tie the knot in a special atmosphere during the pre-Christmas season will have the opportunity to do so on Thursday, December 17, 2026. On that evening, the Erlangen Registry Office will be offering civil weddings in the Brunnensaal of the Erlangen City Museum. Currently, six dates are still available.
Conversion of Ukrainian Driver's Licenses
As of August 18, 2026, Ukraine has been officially included in Annex 11 of the Driver’s License Regulation (FeV). As a result, holders of valid Ukrainian driver’s licenses generally have the option of having their licenses converted to a German driver’s license for the license classes listed there without having to retake the written and driving tests.
Citizenship Office Temporarily Unavailable
The Erlangen City Citizenship Office will be temporarily closed from Monday, September 7, through Friday, September 25, 2026.
