Our offices have different opening hours. It is necessary to make an appointment at almost all offices.

If you used to come to our offices during opening hours to sort something out, you can now only do so by appointment. This allows us to

  • shorten or even avoid waiting times for you and
  • prepare for the appointment with you individually in advance.

You can arrange your (preferred) appointment with some offices online. This is practical, easy and quick. Of course, you can also get your appointment by phone. And many concerns or inquiries can also be answered or dealt with over the phone.

No appointment is necessary for two areas

You can visit the citizens' service on the first floor of the town hall (applying for ID cards, re-registration, driving license matters, certificates of good conduct, vehicle registration, residents' parking permits, parking permits for the severely disabled) and the welcome desk of the immigration office without an appointment.

When you come to us

Access to the town hall is only possible via the main entrance on Rathausplatz. Only municipal employees and delivery services have access to the town hall from the east side ("Rathaushintereingang").

Dogs are generally not permitted. Exceptions are only possible if a dog is required for health and educational reasons (e.g. assistance or school dogs) or if the dog owner has been asked by the city to present their dog at the office.

Sometimes our offices have to close at short notice or their availability is limited. In these cases, we will inform you via our service portal.
