The aim is to provide equitable, high-quality and gender-equitable education for sustainable development (SDGs 4 and 5) for all age groups. The basis is a partnership between the Environmental Agency and (non-)school learning locations (SDG 17) - without interfering with educational autonomy.

Network Education for Environment and Sustainability in Erlangen
On January 12, 2021, the Erlangen Network Education for the Environment and Sustainability was founded as a successor to the Environmental Education Round Table under the moderation and coordination of the City of Erlangen's Environmental Education Officer.
Environmental Award
The city of Erlangen has been awarding the Erlangen Environmental Prize together with Erlanger Stadtwerke since 2009. It honors the responsible and forward-looking participation of 'the young generation' in shaping our living environment. Applications can be submitted until the end of June.
