Taster and school internship

An internship in the City of Erlangen’s administrative department is available in the following fields:

• Administrative Clerk
• Public Administration Specialist (civil servant at the 2nd qualification level)
• Graduate in Public Administration (civil servant at the 3rd qualification level)

Internships in the administrative sector are generally offered during our introductory internship weeks.
Outside of the weeks listed below, an internship in the administrative sector is only possible in exceptional cases.

Taster internships in the careers of "Kinderpfleger*in" or "Erzieher*in" are generally possible all year round in the municipal childcare facilities and usually last one week.

How to apply:
If you are interested in a taster internship, please contact the daycare center in which you would like to complete an internship directly. If you are accepted by the head of the facility, complete the application form together with the facility and send it to us.
Please note that the application form should be received approximately 4-6 weeks before the start of the internship.

An internship in the industrial-technical field at the City of Erlangen is possible in the following professions:

• Environmental technologist for wastewater management
• Specialist for event technology
• Gardener - specializing in gardening and landscaping
• Industrial mechanic
• Automotive mechatronics technician
• Agricultural and construction machinery mechatronics technician
• Road builder
