Working together in solidarity, 2,025 dedicated members of Erlangen’s urban community—representing a wide range of sectors in civil society, business, and academia—drafted the “Erlangen Declaration on Diversity, Respect, and Tolerance.” We would like to briefly outline the process that led to this declaration.

The closed event will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 3.30 to 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber (1st floor), Rathausplatz 1 in Erlangen.

The city of Erlangen is the third major Bavarian city to use the plan to underline its commitment to the rights and visibility of LGBTQIA* people - i.e. lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer and agender people. The strategic plan guides the work in the area of LGBTQIA* issues.
